Defined in the entry-level segment, the MSA 1060 is very reasonably priced but can still meet simple workloads, can support SSD and HDD drives and common connections such as FC, SAS, and iSCSI.

Compact appearance with a size of only 2U but MSA1060 can accommodate up to 24 2.5-inch drives and has the ability to expand 3 more enclosures to bring the maximum capacity to 92.16TB for a 2.5-inch drive or 216TB for a 3.5-inch drive

The MSA 1060 is also equipped with valuable software such as Thin Provisioning, Tiering, Snapshot, Volume Copy

HPE also announced the OS supported on MSA 1060 such as: MS Window Server 2016, MS Window Server 2019, VMWare, Red Hat Linux, SuSE SLES Linux, and Citrix XenServer
